Ivana Alvares – Marshall (Trailblazer)

Ivana Alvares-Marshall, corporate pilot for a company in Malawi, she is passionate about breaking barriers and empowering women in the field of aviation. The founder and first Governor of the African Section of Ninety Nines International Organization of Women Pilots, she strives to inspire future aviators through the Girls Wings for Africa Project & STEM initiatives. She is empowering young girls to dream big and pursue careers in aviation and STEM fields. With a seat at the table as a member of AFCAC’s women steering group and affiliations with Women In Aviation & Aerospace Charter and IAWA, her dedication to promoting aviation, STEM education, and mental health in Africa knows no bounds. Her dedication to promoting aviation, STEM education, and mental health in aviation has earned her (recognition and accolades) and she was awarded the Award of Inspiration by the 99s in 2021.
